How would your best friend (or someone close to you) describe you using only 3 adjectives?

Calm, energetic, adventurous.

What does a typical day in your life look like?

I would water the plant, do a few yoga stretches, make breakfast smoothie then watch some youtube art videos and reply emails. I would do some drawing exercises to warm up. Then I'll go to the studio and work on my painting projects till dinner time, with lunch break in between. I'll watch TV with my husband after dinner. I might paint some more if I'm not sucked into watching too much TV or get tired. I usually go to bed around midnight.

Who inspires you?

Nature and faces also inspire me.

What is your favorite quote?

Happiness is a decision.

What is something you wish you could change about the world?

I wish we would look inward more and try to improve ourselves rather than putting responsibility on others for our own shortcoming and dissatisfaction.

Do you have any hidden talents?

Not really hidden talents, but I do play golf other than painting.

As an artist, what made you get into art?

I think art is in the blood. I have always been attracted to visual art  I love looking at beautiful paintings of all kinds from classical to modern art. I get a lot of enjoyment from taking them in. I admire great artists and want to be able to paint images to express myself in a visual way. Making art gives me comfort and satisfaction. It is part of me.

What is your favorite thing about art commissions?

My favorite thing about art commissions is that I get to share my passion in painting with others.  It makes me happy to see the joy and delight in the clients when they receive the painting.

What is your favorite piece of artwork? (from someone living)

I don't have one favorite piece of art work from artists dead or alive. There are just so many. I love works from living artists like Richard Schmid, Quang Ho, Nicolas Uribe among others.

What is your favorite piece of artwork? (from someone dead)

For dead artists I love works from Sargent, Zorn, Sorollo among many others.

What do you want people to know about you?

I am passionate about painting. I want to spend as much time as I can to get inspired to paint, draw and paint and learn everyday to improve myself as a painter. I love to share my passion of painting with others by showing my paintings, do commissions and teaching.
